Figured I'd better get back to the Z1....
Looking good Chris! With the Water Buffalo you have 2 projects going at the same time now, just make sure you don't put that GT radiator on the Z by mistake!

You might have a good idea there Glenn....if I combine the two it would cut down on my project time ....might make a cool drag bike out of them

What did I do To My Other Motorcycle ? ? ?
In past lives . . . I would have been doing well to have ONE MC . . .
. . . but Yea . . . and this is the yea to single life . . . not highly recommended to those that aren't . . . but . . .
My Shamya Twain is my 1st True love . . . yet she comes on the heels ov Shamya . . .
. . . funny how language works like that . . . ha.
I have had a wind screen for the '84 XV750 for a time and even had it on for less than half a day, last fall.
But what with weather approaching and some long distance rides in the next while . . .
. . . I decided to give it another try.
But this time, working unconventionally . . . I suppose my preference . . .
I got it on and almost enjoy it.
although it creates wind that plays with my Moose-stach,
at least the wind isn't twirling it up my nose, this time . . . ha.
Introducing Shamya
I have ended up with it as it should be for me . . .
. . . I can see over it, and it hardly is in my view, and the wind is deflected to the very top of my lid.
As a matter ov fact, on the trial run there were 2 BIG FAT JUICY BUGS that were deflected above me . . .
they both lived to the Great joy ov my Buddhist friends.

Replaced the headlight bulb and and topped up all 6 segments of the battery in the KLR... The bike starts so much easier with a battery that isn't almost bone dry...
FYI: The H7 Bulb that comes from BMW is cheaper than the Kawasaki branded one. It's also a lot whiter than the stock bulb.
Then decided to test out late rush-hour exodus on hwy 2 up to Airdrie... Seems they've raised the speed limit to 135... In the slow lane... Or it might just be because it's monday...
I wonder if I can swing one last road trip before the snow flies....

If you're in Nebraska and the wind stops or you see a tree, pull over immediately and take a nap. You're having road hallucinations.

2010 Kawasaki KLR650
1979 Honda CM185T Twinstar and the first BCCMC bike of the month!!!
Welcome to the land of the flat.... well, as flat as Calgary gets...

The old Dodge isn't just a work bench but a storage locker too...the trunk is full of Zed and Kh parts as well
.
Gotta make the most of space when you're on a fixed income

Things are bad when the only storage space you can afford is a 70 challenger, what's next, sleeping under overpasses.
