(Bloomberg) — There are not enough people to repossess all the motorcycles.

That was the message from Harley-Davidson Inc., which said Thursday its credit losses in the first quarter were due in part to a shortage of repossession agents.

  That’s crazy!!! Of course, repo-ing delinquent Harleys might be kind of dangerous!! Like maybe bullet proof vests are needed, and a decent sidearm as well.   I can understand why there’s a shortage of repo agents.

I remember hearing on a financial podcast that HD finance would let people with terrible credit ratings finance their products because HD owners would rather miss a mortgage payment than a Harley payment.

Sounds like a great business plan that is paying off for them.

Lending money to people who clearly make terrible decisions. Chrysler finance must have gone to the same school. "When even your mom won't lend you money".
