   I don't think you'll have any problem.

   It looks pristine.

   Nice work.

Nicely done. Did you send a cover letter to explain any changes from stock? In my experience it has helped but your bike looks so good no cover may be necessary.

Count down to go time to my riding season has now started.  To celebrate, I poured a little under 4 liters of fresh oil into the motor of what will be my rider this year........a 1984 Suzuki GS 750E.........in the color black please.
I was giggling the whole time. Wink

I've never sent a cover letter, never had any problems.
If the changes are era correct, to be honest they let so much slip by its unreal, like
the wrong color. The last thing i'd want to do is bring attention to the changes.

That is a very good point. When I submitted for the 1100R I had a nice letter to go with it detailing all of the period correct alterations that were done. I had a good person at the insurance office tell me not to use it for the reasons you mentioned. 16 days later I had my plates! Cool

So are higgspeed chambers..new stuff?
Don't sound like available back in the day mods?

I thought you can run a Hooker,Jardine,Kerker from back in the day cuz they were available, buy a Mac was maybe out because it did not exist back then?  Can anyone clarify that.?
In the same vein, if new generation. Exhaust are allowed, does that mean an USD fork and Marchenesi wheels are allowed. On a cb 750 from the middle seventies.?

All I know is the only rejection I got was on the bike without the cover letter. Just my experience. That is with 7 applications.

Frank,

My experience (just me) has been that period "pattern" exhaust are accepted.

I have pattern Dunstalls and a pattern Gold Star muffler that have been approved.

The Higgspeeds are patterned after the Allspeeds which were available in the "70"s.

Yesterday, I put insurance on both bikes......was kinda waiting a few more days so that the insurance would run to the end of October, then ....duhhhh....realized I could just insure for 7 months instead of 6, and solve that problem.......took'em both for a little scoot.....man, there's a lot of sand on the roads, still.

I have ceramic coated headers on my Collector plate car, which weren't available in 1970,and ICBC accepts that as period correct.Hard to find an NOS set of Hedmans out there
