So I was at Lordco a couple ov days ago . . .

. . . went to leave and the starter went click . . . and then nothing.
used pliers to jump solinoid . . . spark show . . . but no go.

So did the old school thing and bump started it . . . ha . . .
try that with a foot cluch and under the leg shifter . . . ha.

it went like Start - stall - Start - stall - Start - stall - Start - stall -

START . . . . yippy . . . home again, home again, jiggidy jig jig.

This aft tore it apart to fix . . . gotta get done for the TOY RUN . . .
(even though I have a XV750 as a just in caser)

Here is what I found . . . in my brand new 4 brush starter,
a tooth on one of the planitary gears broke off and jammed the unick solid.

used the 2 planetary gears from an old parts starter . . . as I figured the undamaged one might fail one day as well.

She's up and running again . . . ready for the toy run.

Yippy.

PS will be getting ahold of ebayer and see about compensation.

Looks like the Norton is good to go for the Kootenay Toy Run.

I should be seeing Dr. Virago and Tired Iron in the AM if all goes well!
