Part of my winter maintenance in the garage has been the replacement of the Laverda front fender, which has the reputation of vibration induced hairline crack right at the front top where it's seen the easiest. Parts guru Wolfgang Haerter in Nakusp says the best fix is the installation of the updated front fender which is stock on all bikes 1982 at later, which has a rolled rib along the front to prevent this crack. Wolfgang has new body work available for most all Laverdas, so a brand new 1200 Mirage TS fender in factory grey arrived in 2 days. I contracted Leedam and his son Keenan at Bike FX in Surrey to paint the fender. Colour matching was my main worry, as well as different paint application methods [base/clear versus the current solid colour paint] , I didn't want to paint the entire machine. I've seen his work for Deeley HD, and Shail's, it's pretty impressive!

My worries are gone, the colour match, and paint quality are, from studying the fender and the brackets for 15 minutes , are perfect.

Ross, I showed him the picture of your Honda, and he requests you bring the tank and side covers to his shop so he can study the parts, give you an accurate quote. I can give you his number and address privately.

Michael xxx in Surrey did my Z1 paint for two vehicles and a spare set.  He did a great job.
