Merry Christmas everyone.

I’m off to spend the day with our oldest son, daughter in law, and two grandsons.  My wife is in Vernon to spend Christmas with our youngest son.

Wish you all the best of the season.

We did Christmas here at home in Chase.  Technology is great.....we were able to facetime with everyone at some point during the day.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas day.  Today it's very windy here as a storm blows over.  Still no snow though.

We had Christmas with the neighbors last night, ate myself stupid, then sat up all night wondering if it was indigestion or a heart attack. Fun times.

In case I missed any of you with our Christmas letter, here it is:

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone.

It's been a while since I updated so here we go.
We're having a brown Christmas here in Saskatchewan. It's +2c and no snow today, this time last year it was -42 and 2 feet of snow.
We lost our faithful, 10 year old Bernese Mountain Dog, Ruxton a couple months ago. Jenn promptly promoted Oscar, out 9 month old Maremma to the position of house dog so the idea of having a guardian dog is right out.
Last month we made a new addition to the house, an adorable Newfoundland puppy named Charlotte. She's settling in comfortably and training up well.
Jenn is making good progress with her fused glass art and her stained glass. We're finally figuring out how to fire the glass in the kiln correctly to get the results she wants.
Market season was not good to us this year, everyone is being very careful with their money right now and all the small businesses we've talked to are feeling the pinch.
We had a really good response to some of our vegetables last year so this season we will be putting in more carrots, peas, beans, beets and pumpkins. We've also cultivated another half-acre of land in order to put in more corn for next year. We were very impressed with the quality of the corn last year.
Our seed order is placed and we're busy waiting for spring.
I've finished insulating and wiring my shop and I'm taking in mechanical repair work now,  which has been helping a lot.
Hope to have more in the new year.
Shawn and Jenn.

  Merry Christmas everyone!!

I’ve spent the last 2 days in the ECU after emergency surgery for burst appendix.

Getting tired of these extended issues on the operating table. It’s against my nature to lie and do nothing. My body right however is saying bloody well shut up.

Sorry to hear that Steve.  A ruptured appendix is serious business.  Hope you are mending up in time for new year.

Merry Christmas to everyone and a much better year for June and  I than 2022

Shawn thank you for the update and we also replaced our Roxie who passed while I was in the hospital with a puppy and named her Charlotte as well.

Steve, you have had a tough year and hoping you will have a full recovery.

June and I are just across the bridge if you need anything or simply want us to come and bug you there.

Once again Merry Christmas to everyone and their families!
