Go read Smokey Yunick's "Best Damn Garage In Town"

It's a very similar poorly edited, 1100 page stream of consciousness in which, if half the stories are true, he too had an amazing life.

We miss Frank!
I own the Yunick books, there are 3 in the set, and I agree with you that even if half is BS he had fun.

Yes, I miss his salty little insight into things. I didn't think I would like him by reading his posts, I was wrong.
Genuine guy and a true "motorcycle " guy.

Does anyone know how the family is coping, if they are doing ok ?

Saw some of his family during the week....they had just returned from Puerta Vajarta, seemed OK.  Some of Franks old friends are helping sort the storage, some stuff gone, can tell it's getting reduced, but still overpowering.

I spend most days working in the shop. Quite often, when deciding what type of steel to use,  I find myself thinking "Frank would know which one would work best". Still hard to accept that he's gone.

We were polar opposite’s but he became a good buddy and one that June I would meet on our many Okanagan journeys
We will always talk about him and remember him
He loved all motorcycles not just Hondas

I have a couple of tools he made for me and a few things he acquired on my behalf, I did a few things like that for him. Always got on with him really well. He was a good guy.

Today would of been his 66th birthday. A toast to Frank.

Haven’t been here for a while, and this came as quite a surprise. He was an original for sure and will be missed by those that knew him, and yes I enjoyed his posts also.

Franks son Vincent has asked if anybody would like another sift through Franks storage lockers, next Saturday, the 26th of March.

Maybe I can tear myself away from the family for the day and come down for that. Some might not be too happy but I can live with that, a few of the family are coming up for my birthday that weekend so maybe I might have company.

This'll take the place of the Falkland Coffee Expedition, for many of us.

Yes I wouldn't mind being part of the March 26th group.

I'll take another look. I imagine they're getting ready to downsize/shut down the place.

Oh, Man, where do we start???

Obviously, mainly Honda parts, but partial bikes of several makes, a Yamaha 650, a SL350 roller, a CB350 twin engine, tanks, bars, fenders, wheels, seats, vintage bicycles and parts, hand tools and tool chests, garage wall ephemera......this is based on what I saw the last time I was there, perhaps some things have found new homes.

So it looks like coffee in Falkland is off for now.  I won't be coming to this shindig.

Henry, next Saturday is the excursion thru Franks storage, last chance.   No visits up there yet, but soon, we promise.

Vincent indicates that 12:30 - 1:00 would be a good time to run our sticky fingers thru the remainder of the treasures.
