I wont be going to the vintage event but I'll probably stop in the Ft for coffee in the morning.

Oh, I didn’t know you were in town.  Hopefully see you at the Fort.

I was out there last afternoon, checking out breached shores of the river at Glen Valley Bar.
A bit of advice, don't buy riverfront property.

I got to contemplating todayWhats riding all about,
I got thourorrly soaked thorough today, cold and wet as a shag's breakfast
Came home and stood in the shower for an hour while I thawed out
is that what this riding motorcycles is all about?
I do enjoy having the odd meal with one or two of my friends and of course I do enjoy talking about and wrenching on an old bike

I believe riding is all about that warm and fuzzy feeling we get when we release the clutch and start off down the road  on our bikes or when we  pull off our helmets after a pleasant ride.
In our youth we felt it every time we rode but as we age our minds become a little more selective. (Thank god for that or we would all be suffering from pneumonia for six months of every year in this climate)
For a few years I only owned a motorcycle, then I only owned dirt bikes and pickup trucks to haul them in. After that it was fast touring bikes and now I like vintage stuff.
A long ride for me now would be to Chilliwack and back on a warm sunny afternoon with no possibility of rain.                                                                                                                                         My preferences have changed drastically over the years but that warm fuzzy feeling is still as strong as ever and that's all that matters.

I knew it was going to rain hard today. I wanted to test my riding gear for capability of inclement weather. Everything passed except my gloves.

Riding motorcycles is flying on the ground. It’s being ‘in the panorama’,  it’s being in the ‘scene’. It’s operating a vehicle which requires a higher level of competency.  Non motorcyclists don’t understand.
