Careful Roy.  You’ll stir up the anti mask, conspiracy theory, QAnon, and denial, hordes.  They’ll be coming after you like crazed zombies.  Hopefully they’ll forget their AK47s at home.

I'm not worried by the Trump supporters.  Evil

Let's be clear, i'm not asking anyone to wear a mask, its a suggestion thats all, each person who wears a mask is making the rest little safer.

I don’t know... after Obama’s speech yesterday and his going on comparing how badly America is doing handling COVID 19 compared to Canada I am braced for a tirade from Trump about how high a security risk we are and closing our borders then ordering up the national guard to protect against impending invasion and further fake news. Keep safe everybody, apologies for the rant, he just bothers me.

Thanks for getting the "Off-Line" problem sorted.  I tend to agree with your assessment of the situation down south.  I have a rider friend in Seattle area I stay in touch with.  He and his wife are hunkered down with the pantry full.  He is not optimistic about the situation over the next few weeks.  Stay Safe everyone !

The USA wants to open the borders with Canada now,and months earlier,,,not the opposite as you are explaining it. National Guard? Against Canada? Impending invasion? From Canada? Fake News? Umm, right. Nice rant. You better hope the genius pharmaceutical biologists working on a vaccine for this Wuhan flu, are also diligently applying their skills on an all conquering dose of anti TDS. It's the only hope of 50% of the world's population from ripping their tye dyed purple hair out.  It's pretty clear that this Wuhan, China origin virus has strong influences against those persons carrying less than adequate lifestyle choices which have given them underlying health issues. USA citizenry, particularly high density population inner cities, poor communities with decades of inferior education base, huge aging population kept alive past their due date by the miracle of 21's century drugs etc, but also many other base populations, suffer from decades of inactivity, terrible diet, poor recreational drug choices, general lethargic lifestyle, giving Mr. Wuhan a good chance to embed itself into a vulnerable soul. Surely, the last time you rode your motorcycle in the glorious roads of the USA, have you found how difficult it is to find a decent salad in a restaurant, other than nutritionally vacant head lettuce smothered in thousand island goup? No wonder their rates are so % high.

Many thanks on your efforts regarding the interruption of service. Computerisation software is a unique avenue we humans face.

There's truth in what Steve wrote.  I like to visit this site for BC info on covid.  http://www.bccdc.ca/Health-Info-Site/Documents/COVID_sitrep/Week_43_BC_COVID_19_Situation_Report.pdf

Have a look at the age distribution data on P7.  A total of 258 people have died, with an average age of 85.  No one under the age of 40.

I'm not saying we should allow covid to spread without restrictions.  We need to do what Bonnie Henry is recommending.  Somehow we need to target our efforts at protecting the elderly while allowing society to continue to function.  That's what Bonnie Henry is doing...finding a middle ground.

I'm liking the forecast for Sunday: sunglasses with down jackets. Up for meeting anywhere, though I do have a request: would someone take my '78 KZ650 for a quick spin around the block on Sunday? As someone born when these bikes were built I don't have a baseline for how they're "supposed" to run and feel—I only got the bike three years ago. For example, I'm in an ongoing debate with myself about some off-idle stumble and rich/lean issues, and having a seasoned second set of eyes & ears on the bike might point me in some new directions. I can bring a carton of coffee and donuts for the gang as a token of gratitude.

I guess it’s up to individuals, but I’ll not be attending coffee meets for at least two weeks.

In light of the huge spike in COVID cases Dr. Bonnie Henry has issued new Public Health Orders for Vancouver Costal and Fraser Health regions.  For the next two weeks beginning 10:00pm today.  There are to be no social gatherings outside of immediate households members.  And no nonessential travel to, from, or between the Health regions.

Agreed: I just got home from a ride and saw the news. I'm in Vancouver Coastal Health so yeah, I'll have to stay in my region for the time being. In the meantime I'll clog another thread on this forum with my jetting issues.

I think we're going to pass on coffee as well.

Brine on the roads, cold weather and the Kung Flu are all making it less fun.

See you guys in the spring.

Guess I'll be sitting on my boat drinking luke warm coffee and talking to myself for the next little while.
Hope I don't get into any arguments.  Grin

It’s important to get out and about. Shuttering yourself in your house in fear is simply not an option for me. If this is the route you choose for the next 1.5 years, i wish you luck. I shall be conducting my regular routines I’ve always kept. Ride to Squamish yesterday, probably more Sunday. Of course this has never included gang parties on Granville St, attending mass social gatherings of the cultural variety, etc.

Yup, now that the crap weather is here for a few months and covid is on a tear, it is time to pull back a little. See you all in the spring, once this is all over. Enjoy your alone time on your ship Stan. Take care guys.
