Too bad we have to postpone this get together, its hard to find a coffee shop at the moment that has a walk up window.
Has anyone tried to roll up to a drive through on a bike, in these circumstances it should be allowed.
I went for a ride on Sunday, its nice with few cars on the road but kind of weird.

I think Starbux has walk in , at the non drive thru locations. You pick up and leave,  but you can stand in the parking lot at proper distance..
I think McDonald's as well , their coffee is quite good these days.

Looks like it will be picnic time and we can pack our sandwiches and cheese and stuff in our packs and go to our individual locations.    June and I are used to going for lunch rides ending up at a restaurant for grubs then ride home afterwards so looks like that is out for a while.  We will make the best of it and at least our dog loves our extra time around the house.

People may frown at my apparent lack of concern over this chaicom bat soup flu, but I assure you my travels the last 5  weeks to very intermittent work shifts, shopping, drive through places, insurance outlets, etc, have  been highly thought out to protect,,,myself,, from human interaction. A 270 km motorbike ride today, Saturday, has been therapeutic to a degree that no doctor with a prescription paper could match. Lunch at Subway in Aldergrove was super easy today, stood beside my bike with the sandwich, had the drink
Later on by Cultus Lake water slides.
The coffee takeout situation surprisingly seems trickier, at
Least at Tim Hortons and squambucks,, drive thru only as far as I’ve seen, tricky on a motorbike unless you’ve got a cup holder or open tank bag. I’m game if someone has an idea!

I was out riding along Zero Avenue today and it seems people who cannot cross the border to visit friends are driving to the border, parking on the roadside and pulling up a couple of deck chairs and having a visit across the line.

I saw maybe 15 groups of 2 to 4 people having a few beers and chatting, only one US Border Sheriff was stopped to check out one of the groups.

Pretty cool as a way to stay in touch (pun intended)

I need this thing over already, I'm up for a ride next Sunday, (busy tomorrow though)

Anyone keen to get together for a ride if the weathers OK, let me know.

David.

I think I saw the same thing happening out the bottom end of Columbia Valley, where the border line runs right beside the road.  Bunch of people milling around, couldn't figure out what they were dpoing, it was just a nice gathering
I think.  I'm game for a ride on the 26th, rain notwithstanding. Tomorrow, the mechanic at Rising Sun MC in East Van wants to see my Norton. Plus I'm out of Calister Coffee Porter.

I’ve banned myself from cruise ships forever after witnessing the gong show of the last 2 months.
RV sales I predict will have future to a winter warmth holiday. That is until
Our Cdn $ drops to $.59 the next 2 years.

Not sure if the weather is going to be ideal tomorrow or not but one coffee option is to do it Old-School - with a thermos and lawn chair.

I'll be at my boat tomorrow from about 9:30 or 10:00 and there would be room for 5 or 6  to keep acceptably distant from each other.
I have a coffee machine but no cream or sugar

I know this is way off in the distance however next Sunday I think it is the second June and I might right out to Glen Valley.  Most of you know of the pull out and there is plenty of space.   Thinking of around 100pm and we can bring our own sandwiches and beverages if we like and commandear  a picnic table and stand around it.
Maybee we can drag out those two sleepy heads in Mission to join us.
Let us know if that will work for anyone.
