Thanks guys! I'll check them all out. What make is yours Ross? I'm afraid I'm in the size category where manufactures don't even bother making the size I need. My sister often gives me the thumbs up to check out Winners for fantastic prices, only to find out not 1 item in the entire store fits me.

I have been wearing a pair of pants from Winx. They have very limited armour at knees and hips. All can be easily removed when off the bike. Very comfortable, but how much protection they will give is something I am not planning to find out.

As well as the usual Riding pants, with built in armour, I picked up a set of BULL-IT riding JEANS with a Kevlar liner. A bit warmer than regular jeans but also a lot safer, although NO build in armour. On longer trips I normally take along several different riding pants as space permits.
