Rocky Mountain MC 2022 Buyers Guide for ADV & Dual Sport Helmets.

I've seen a trend among local club members during our regular gatherings. Certain motorcycle demographic has become popular.

Everything you wanted to know about Fairbanks Morse opposed piston two-stroke diesel motors used in WWII era submarines and (with minor changes) for current day power generation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxhakWu75Rc

Now this would be way more fun than being a passenger on a Boeing 737.

Yeah, that’s a good one Stan. Not sure I could handle being a passenger in that, Barf bag would be needed for sure.

Cappadoccia  Turkey.
I'm going to find a way to visit this place and if I could rent a bike in Istanbul and ride there it would be an awesome trip.

I spent several weeks in that area with some buddies in the late 90's.  Spent some time hiking through that exact same valley she rides her bike through to get to some of the cave homes.  It was a pretty awesome trip.  At one point, we rented some bikes and drove out the the 'desert' where parts of the original Star Wars was filmed (pretty funny story about that which I'll tell over coffee some time).  The underground 'cities' are pretty amazing.  Spent some time in Istanbul as well which is absolutely incredible.  Mediterranean coast is amazing with roman ruins all over the place.  Ran into a guy from Vancouver there who bought a CB1100F and had it shipped to London, rode it all around Europe (including Turkey and all those other great Mediterranean states) then sold if for quite a bit more than he paid for it and flew home.

So,,,,,,,,,not an oil thread. This video answers the question, as potentially heated and divisive as an oil conversation, do you need to warm up your motorcycle engine before riding away?

Traffic Stoplights, operation, and silly urban myths debunked. I've had many an argument on the "weight activation" myth, that bikes are too lightweight to activate.
