There's plenty of good country out there, just ignore the "bro country" that gets played on JR FM.

https://youtu.be/6gBV-Nzq7Pg

So that's what they call the 'new' country, "bro country'. Frickin' hate it. Give me old original country any day.

Sturgill Simpson isn't Bro country.

Think Luke Bryan, etc.

It doesn't have to be sad, twangy songs about Texas.

I admire George Jones more for his lawn mower driving than his singing.

Nope.

No-Show Jones' wife got mad at him for being drunk for a few days straight. She took his car keys so George took his riding mower to the liquor store instead.

He's just carrying on the country and western tradition.

Sticking with country, this group was popular in the mid '70's.  They often were accompanied by Jerry Garcia on tours.  This is one of their early tunes about railroad robbers.

Heh heh.  I remember in junior high school, in the gym.  Myself and two of my friends, in a line, doing that “truckin” walk down the middle of the floor.  Long hair and bell bottom jeans.  Man, we were groovy.  Or, maybe just goofy.

Yep!  I remember doing it too!

Here's another song for deadheads.  I really like this song.
