Took the Honda out for a toodle around the neighbourhood.  Runs well.  LOUD.  Had to readjust the clutch cable down at the bottom.

Starts and idles down nicely.  I reckon it's running lean.  Lots of popping on deceleration.

But man, is she beautiful.

Sounds like almost a photo opportunity coming up, Ross.....

I’d love to post pics.  But I can’t seem to figure out how to do it on this forum anymore.

Still crazy after all these years.  This is one of my favourite songs by these guys.  I first heard it on the car radio in 1967 as we were cruising around the A&W in Saskatoon.  These guys even LOOK like rockers.

Couldn’t wait until next week.  I put the emblems, lower edge trim, and filler cap on this morning.  Turned out pretty ok.  Had to ream out the badge mount holes and filler cap bracket holes to remove excess paint.  Also had to scrape off a pit of paint from the inside of the filler cap brackets.  A bit too much paint buildup to all the filler cap to slip inside the bracket.

But all good now.  I put in some fuel and now I’ll wait until the showers let let up later this afternoon to try it out around the neighbourhood.  It’ll be the first ride really.  So far I’ve only run it up and down the lane a few times.

Fingers crossed.

This is kinda cool. These 2 hosts from Revzilla use a 5-8 minute segment during each podcast to listen to a 30 second track of an engine running in order try try to guess the engine and bike. They used my track of my Laverda, during this most recent podcast. If you don't want to watch the entire podcast, move it up to 1:42:44 . Its a laugh, they couldn't figure it out until they got the first hint.

If it’s 25 years old or older, I don’t think it requires inspection.  A while back, I thought about buying a Versys1000 in Alberta.  I’m pretty sure it would require inspection or some sort of certification.

But as to buying/selling a “rebuilt” vehicle, be it a car or motorcycle, caveat emptor.  Ya pays yer money, and ya takes yer chances.  Hence the considerable lower buying and selling prices.  The “rebuilt” moniker, once affixed, follows the vehicle forever on its registration.

That's one reason why I think the ICBC writeup is for 4 wheelers.  I don't think an inspection is necessary to register a motorcycle in BC.  I brought one in from Medicine Hat without any inspection.  I brought another in from Rocky Mtn House and they only checked the VIN.

Perhaps Henry can chime in with how they labelled his Versys when it was crashed.  I think he rebuilt it and then sold it.
