Finally sourced some exhaust gaskets, so a quick wrestling match to install the Kerker and I was off on the first ride of the year on the 1100R! I just need to adjust the clutch, do a little detailing, and get some new BT45's installed and she'll be good for another year. I stopped at Notch Hill on my test ride and gave a little thanks. Drove from Maple Ridge to Chilliwack Mountain this morning. Left with Don but he unfortunately had to bail because his Kawi was crapping out. I think his carbs were giving him trouble.

Did Sumas Mountain on the way, then the #1 to exit 109. From there it's north onto industrial way and a couple of miles to Old Orchard on the left.

Old orchard is a great quiet twisty along the river. It leads into Chilliwack Mountain road but there are a couple of great roads up the mountain like Shrewsbury Drive and Grand View Drive. Grand view is the best with some great long sweeping bends. At the top is a park with great trails which I didn't get much time to explore this time. Only thing missing is a Cafe at the top but Chilliwack is near enough.

Helluva view from this monstrosity.  Yes, both.

Park with ponds and meadows.

The view towards Chilliwack

I'm sure someone is going to ask for a shot of the beauty in red from behind so here ya go:

Oh. You didn't mean the metal one? sorry.

Nice day!

With the heat, I'm surprised the road to the falls isn't open yet.

Haven't stopped at the natural bridge since I rode out here on the Twinstar all those years ago.

Hey I actually know where that is!  Beautiful spot below Jasper,  Athabasca Falls if I'm right.  We stopped there after hiking Mt Edith Cavell,  one of the most amazing hikes we've ever done.  Truely God's country as they say.

That's the natural bridge, right before Field.

Mine is a much older version. Many subtle differences but same smiles per mile.
