Not a ride per se but first lessons on her first motorcycle.

Thanks to Mrs, Motolobo, Erica for deciding to sell her 2006 Honda VLX600 to my wife, Jenn.

She can be properly addressed as Mrs. Twin even though the engine is in the frame sideways for some reason.

A buddy used to have a LX 600......I really appreciate the relaxed cruiser ride after a long ride on it.....easy to ride fairly briskly, does not ask too much of the driver.....could have switched back onto his Wee Strom for the rest of the day, but was quite happy, thank you very much, to be a cruiser....

She is studying madly for her class 6 learners permit as we speak.

Today we spent a couple hours in a quiet parking lot near my house going over how to do a pre-ride check and what the various buttons, levers and pedals do.

After that, a good amount of time was spent on how to control the throttle and clutch while duck-walking the bike around the parking lot.

Once she has her learners permit and has some basic ideas of how the motorcycle works, I'll be turning her over to my instructor.

I would guess that Jen is already better than half of the drivers in the lower mainland that already have their DL.   I dont want to sound like an old broken record but she needs to really have fear awareness and always be on the alert for the drones that surround us every day on our rides.     June and I to this day love our bikes but tend to stay away from the city unless necessary.  We even take the Tswassen ferry when possible to save possible injury to or from Horseshoe bay.

Any way Jen have lots of fun and thats what its all about it is a recreational vehicle and hobby.  We also need a few more ladies to join us so we dont look so bad ass as we go to Sunday coffee limping or in our crutches and wheelchairs wearing our Foghat and Grateful Dead apparel.
