I don't live very far from Glen, maybe 40 min.  ( Henry lives just up the road between Glen and I,)  I knew the storm was coming, brought the snow blower into the shop on Sat, put it on the lift table, serviced it, fresh gas changed the oil, put air into the tires and gave it a quick wipe and listened to a few tunes. .  The snow kept coming and it got to the point that yesterday I knew that if I didn't clear it was going to be too much for the blower, so out into the blowing snow, 6 1/2 hrs. later I was done.  Had to blaze a path out to the chicken house, can't find my grand daughters two pet rabbits, there down a hole some-where, no tracks to be seen .  We have two very elderly dogs, a Great Pyrenees and an almost blind Boarder Collie, they both got stuck in the snow at the very back of the property, my wife had to got rescue them, then I spent another hour blazing a track in the back yard so the can get out and do their business.  Today I started all over again except that there was only 7 to 8 inches to clear and it was raining, not very hard but enough that I had to change my jacket and hat  twice.  The snow blower hates wet snow and the chute kept plugging. YUK.  Henry lives just that higher in elevation and I heard that they got a lot more than Glen and I did.   Sad Sad

Fourteen Inches of snow in my back yard.  Most I've seen in one snow event since moving to Kamloops in '07.  Prior record was 9 inches in the back yard.  Being cautious I cleared as much snow as I could reach from the roof of my storage shed, and my workshop.

I've been riding a snow shovel for a couple days. I've talked with a lot of people in town here, (Chase), and no-one has seen this amount of snow before. I estimate 20 to 30 inches, it varies. My wife and I had fun with it yesterday and strapped on our snowshoes and traipsed around the golf course. Good exercise. Grin

Hey Glenn, Rob and I were up at Spunkys today and found a new Kawasaki for you... Tongue Grin

I'd love to have one of those! Mind you, I'd like to have a KLR too, the backroads around here are spectacular and endless. Sadly, the growing season is too short for the money tree to take root. Grin (Of course, the  season was too short in Victoria as well)  Cry

And thanks Dale! If I ever fall into enough spare change to purchase fun toys like that, you'll be my first stop! Heck, I want to swing by some time and take a look at that Rickman, very nice!  Cool
