My wife and I (and Trevor and his son) rode in the Victoria Day Parade yesterday.

It's been a while since I last checked in but, last year I gave my, owned since new, '71 Daytona to my son. [URL=http://s26.photobucket.com/user/Cariboo_kid2000/media/002_zps509e810b.jpg.html]      I thought that my vintage motorcycle days were a thing of the past.  That was before I came across this listed in Castanet.     It took a while to get it road worthy, but after a few shake-down miles, and I do mean shake, she seems to be a good reliable runner. If my good fortune continues, I'll be at the O'Keefe Ranch in July.

Cheers

Took a road trip to Ritzville Wa. to see my girls yesterday . . .
left late so just took it through colvile and Spokane, I hate that way,
long straight and boring, but along the way got many, smiles and thumbs up.

pic in front ov Grannys place

This is a 6 in hand stagecoach made out ov horseshoes,
I first saw it a number ov years ago in its current location,
in front ov a restaurant off the highway in Ritzville,
I even have all his photos in my PC as we were going to make a book.
sadly he died and his family set to fighting with his wife over ownership ov the works ov art.
Took me out.

The stop I always make on this trip . . . at Hunters Wa.

Along the way for a while I would stop on the side ov the road or  to fuel at Fruitland,
and 4 times this group ov guys passed by on bikes, 5 ov them.
so when they were stopped at Hunters, I stopped and said
We've passed each other and waved enough times I thought I should stop and say hi and shake you hands,
and we talked for a long while . . . I never thought till later about a group photo.
when I asked where they were going . . . Ha ha . . . they all piped up

WE DON'T KNOW . . . ha ha

when I was suiting up my one daughter said
Papa, with the chaps and vest and white shirt and your boots . . . you look like a cowboy.
I said
Princess . . . ha ha . . . that is easy . . . because I am a cowboy . . . AND . . . on an iron horse I ride . . .

Cariboo Kid,

It was good to meet you at Rona in Penticton the other day.

I will pm you and perhaps we can do a ride and coffee.

Doc,

I have a real soft spot for Craftsman houses and that is a fine example

So the weather was good and the ride was only a little eventful.

I had an exhaust flange nut disapperate about half way home.

Instead of The Magnificent 7 - it might have been The Misanthropic 7 but all in all good fun and several back country roads made for a most excellent meander.

Thanks Y' all.
