I am thinking that 500 would be a bit spinny, slidy in the snow..

I used to try to ride on Christmas even if there was snow..
One year I had the bright idea to do Westside road around to Vernon, sections were still gravel. It was maybe 1973.
Got to Shorts Creek , by Fintry, and I could not get traction to ride out of the creek gully on the road.
Had to back down and claw my way up the shoulder.
Got to Vernon it was pretty cold, found a hotel coffee shop open to warm up in.. (not much open on Christmas day back then).
 Chilly ride home from there...

I did not do that again..

June and I finally got out for the first time this year and did the Langley, Abbotsford and Mission loop to keep the miles low in case June froze or the red Harley wanted to toss some parts that I failed to tighten over the winter.
Sorry no pics but just a really nice ride without bugs applicating themselves to our face and faceshields.

Surprisingly nice day for a ride, gravel and wet areas not withstanding. Snow courtesy of Jetta90.

A couple of classic guys went for a ride on their modern bikes today.  Wink A gorgeous day to head up Westsyde Rd to the Maclure ferry, still iced in! A return home via the Kamloops/Chase Rd on the north side of the South Thompson River to cross at the Pritchard Bridge. I'm going to like my 2015 Versys as much as kaw74 likes his 2014.  Grin

Hey Glen. Is the 650 enough motor if you load it up for an extended tour with camping gear etc?

Easy, I went up to the Yukon on the KLR loaded up with gear, the Versys has almost double the power. Henry really had his Versys loaded on that trip and he had no problems.  Cool
