Rode over to Grindrod today.  Came back through Salmon Arm and stopped at Dreamcycle for some more pie!  This is a photo of Sweetums with the bikes.  Check out those chaps!

Hawk and I rode for coffee to OK Falls, but the coffee shop we planned on stopping at was closed Saturdays and Sundays!!!!!!!   So we went around the corner to the OK Falls Restaurant.......bad news, it's not fancy...good news, it's not fancy.......fantastic carrot cake, and the owner was very friendly.  Good place to stop on a ride.

Then we went to Area 27 for a couple of hours.....windy, but at least it wasn't baking hot......couple of bikes snarling around, then a NASCAR type race, with 9-10 cars, good fun, nobody got hurt, and was able to drive back to the pits.   Finally, before lunch break, a SCCA race, minis, Miatas, to Vipers, and one, which I think was a Formula Ford.

Then off to Tickleberry's for ice cream lunch.

That track is very  highly rated, even among other good tracks in the world.

If you search area27 Kees on YouTube you get to see a local guy running 1.5 seconds under the track record with a Porsche.
He was a factory driver for Porsche for many years.

Went for a spin to Beaverdell this morning, back by noon.
Picked up some long K&N,s for my project bike..
Stopped at the biker gas station coffee shop m had a good coffee and cinnamon bun. Saw a cool Beemer sidehack outfit heading for the Beemer Rally.
Cool out, was hoping it was like earlier in the week..perfect for early morning ride  but the weather tricked me.....again..

Nice to see Trevor’s Cooley at the Sooke car show. There were some pretty interesting cars, like a 1937 Lincoln Zephyr flat 12, as well as the usual assortment of 60’s muscle. A few bikes also, a nice BMW and a Yamaha 500 thumper. The wife was selling tickets to the Musical Ride coming in August, for $5 a real entertainment value!
