I'm sitting here with a lot of time to waste so today I tore into my KZ1000 to change out the coils and pickup.  It was sold with an early electronic ignition, 2 ohm coils, an exciter and a ballast resistor.  I was experiencing intermittent drop out of at least one cylinder (maybe 2) that I could not fix, so I converted the ignition to 3 ohm Dyna coils with a Dyna pickup.  I'm also using the Wired George relay setup to get a full 12 volts at the coils.

While I was at it I took off the 35 tooth rear sprocket that I had mistakenly installed when I got the bike and put a standard 33 tooth one on instead.  This should lower the rpm's a bit at highway speed.

I finally got the swingarm I ordered months ago and started converting it to a "mono" arm. All in now...

You took off the chainguard mount .. Huh?
Are you going to heat treat it after wielding ?
 Is it a Motolanna arm?

It's looking really good....
I bet you wish you could find smaller tubing , with a similar profile to that of the main tubing on the swingarm..

 Not really.

Finding extruded alum wouldn't be worth the effort or cost.It would also be more temperamental to anneal and bend. I think it's turning out alright too, thanks.

What did you use, hope it did not start with a 5..
Looks like you used extrusions..
I don't have oxy acet, and  that top hoop can be annealed with basic gear..

Got the Arm mounted, waiting for new bearings and I have to make some spacers/collars and redo the brake carrier.

That's looks very good Mark!  You may not like polishing but it turned out very well indeed.
