I finally made it up to the Jesmond lookout  north of Clinton after the third attempt. Nice view at the top and thankfully reasonably clear of smoke. It's really rocky the last km and my old trials bike would have been a better fit. I ended up crashing going down and sacrificing my windshield.... Glad I had padding in the elbows of my jacket. I went down at walking speed among  edgy rocks the side of loafs of bread. Bike pinned me a bit and getting it up when pointed down hill with 3/4 tank of gas wasn't easy either. All good otherwise.

When I  rode to Bonneville, the thought entered my mind , that if I had a windshield or faceshield, I could really put on miles...
 And then it passed and I didnt think much about it till now.

Went up Westside Rd this morning with the new ride to me Suzuki.
Starting to feel like this 750 motor is a good one.  This was a longer than expected project (aren't they all?) but finally doing some riding.
A few things I will do to this bike to get it to where it needs to be.  Nothing major.
Saw that the left fork seal is leaking.  I'll take a look at that shortly.

Frank, that was probably what you noticed yesterday on the front disk.  Fork seal was starting to weep and the edge of the left disc may have had some oil mist that captured dust or what have you from the road.  Hence the appearance of discoloration on the rotor edge.

Took the V7 out for a "shake-down" run to Chilliwack Lake after installing some new tires and brake pads...

Got up to the lookout/radio towers above Savona and Kamloops lake. Lots of view and pretty greasy/snowy on the way up.
