Better stay away from the coke Ross!

Every great rock song has a great riff.  This one is no exception...from one of the greatest guitarists ever.

Good selection and variety of classic music you chose Ross.  Always a Who fan, and this brings me back 50 years, and best played loud of course.          https://youtu.be/TmfQQC1bsf4

Love the Who!  A great stage band...

This group  has been around for decades but recently lost their bass player, so not sure if they will continue to perform.  This is one of their better known songs.

I first heard this song on the night of my Grade 12 graduation.  It brought shivers to my spine!  Still does!

I had this album back in 1969.  The song was a great one but a little too long to make the charts.

Here's a song with an interesting story.  Written by Canadian Shirley Eikhard, who died recently, it was intended for Ann Murray, but she turned it down.  So this singer picked it up and made a hit out of it.

No coke. I drink my rum with water and a generous squeeze of lime.

This morning I woke up with this song in my head.  It wasn't his biggest hit but it was a hit if I remember.  He didn't write it and wasn't the first to have a go at it but I think his was the biggest selling version.

  The Beatles.

The last, public appearance of the greatest rock band, arguably, in the history of western society.

 Don't Let Me Down.

January 30, 1970. live, on the roof of Apple Records, 3, Savile Row, London W.I.

Most people would agree the Beatles were the greatest R&R band ever.  They not only lead a change in music but they led a change in social behaviour.

Here is an earlier song from the Beatles that I enjoy listening to the words.  Again, by John.  He had a habit of singing about things that happened to him in his life so I have a belief that this really occurred.
