This guy has been around for decades.  This is one of his great songs.

Saw him and Red Rider a few years back in Kamloops. Great show. You could tell they really enjoyed playing.

He's supposed to be in Salmon Arm at the music festival this summer.

This group was popular back in the day.  The drummer went on to have a pretty good solo career.  I don't have much of their music on my phone but I do have this song.

This guy had a lot of hits back in the '80's.  He was into new drugs at the time but that simply helped his career.  He said he always believed that the heart of rock and roll is the beat, but this song has some marvellous harmonies in the chorus.

And Jeff Lynne's lyrics are pretty good too!  He was a close friend and collaborator of George Harrison.  A great musician!

I like this song.  Back in the day I thought the band had a great future but the lead singer committed suicide and the band folded.  This song is what remains.

The lead singer in this band sounds a little like Lou Reed in his Velvet Underground days.  I like the name of the band.  This song came out in the late 80's.

This song is a favourite of mine.  Originally written by a S African back in the 1930's it was made popular in the USA in the 1960's.

Good one, one of my favorite songs too. Where I grew up in NZ, we had a big surfing culture, every weekend the kids would be driving around with  boards strapped to the roof of their cars. This song was big in NZ back in those days, originally done better by the Surfaris, this is the Ventures version. The song has the drummer front and center, instead of being in the back ground. Watch the guy bashing away on his kit, pretty impressive for a guy dressed in a suit.       https://youtu.be/3bKG0p6Tv9Q

Great song!  I really like the lyrics! Grin. They must have gotten a special deal on the guitars and amps.   All the same!

This song has been done by a lot of artists but none were quite as good as the original.  It's not a song to listen to when running though.

Here are two dutch kids singing a happy birthday song to Flaco Jiminez:
Leonardo "Flaco" Jiménez (born March 11, 1939)[1] is an American singer, songwriter and accordionist from San Antonio, Texas. He is known for playing Norteño, Tex Mex and Tejano music. Jiménez has been a solo performer and session musician, as well as a member of the Texas Tornados and Los Super Seven.[2]
Over the course of his seven-decade career,[3] he has received numerous awards and honors, including Lifetime Achievement Awards from the Grammys, Americana Music Awards, Tejano Music Awards, and Billboard magazine.
Their Spanish and harmonies are pretty good along with the music.

I'm surprised at how small that accordion is.  My father had one that was much larger and very heavy.  The kid is good!

This song is by the original composer, someone I knew of but didn't realize he had written and sung this song long on his first album, out 60 years ago this month, long before it was popularized by the Soggy Bottom Boys.
