Great song from the '50's.

Reggae entered popular music thanks mostly to Bob Marley but he wasn't the only reggae artist to do well internationally.  This guy had several great hit songs around the same time Marley was popular.

   That Carl Perkins song "Blue Suede Shoes" was performed LIVE at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver.  I was there.  The show was headlined by Burton Cummings, with his famous White Grand Piano. His guests were Bobby Vee, Carl Perkins, Lesley Gore.
   Carl came out to sing his song dressed in a Blue Suede suit with the famous shoes. A night to remember.  The CBC was there to record the concert and made a TV performance of the night that aired the next spring.  Exact dates I don't recall, but the show was filmed in the fall.  History in the making.  I'm amazed at my age I can still recall the show.  AH MEMORIES !!!!
