Back when I was a youngster we has a pump organ in our church.  In order to play it you had to pedal the bellows.  The lady who played was a tiny German and she pumped like her life depended on it.  By the end of the church service I think she must have done the equivalent of a half marathon.

This guy was around in the earliest days of rock and roll.  He died about a year ago after an amazing career.  This song was for Muhammed Ali's 50th birthday.

Thinking of one hit wonders, this guy came to mind. Huge hits around the world, then just disappeared, never to be heard from again. Became some kind of hermit or some thing.

Amazing coincidence!  I was just listening to that song by Ger O Donnell!

It's been a long time since I heard that song Shawn!

Covid has caused the world to change.  Imagine people all round the world playing and singing the same song, all in time.  Well here is an example.  Dig the harp!

Don't know if these guys have been mentioned before, they where one of the biggest selling acts of the 60's, hit their stride as the Beatles where taking off around the world. Had their own sound, appealed to a certain demographic, me. Harmonies are fantastic too. Here is one of my favourites, not their most popular, but still a good one.

Harmony of multiple voices is what it’s all about for me. 3 Dog Night, Bee Gees, etc, great stuff.

Listening to the members still alive (Beatles and Beach Boys) there was a desire within both bands to out do the other.  In my view the two best albums ever are Sargent Peppers and Pet Sounds.

I walked Solsbury Hill in June 1983 with my dad. It was a journey we took to find and discover the heritage of our family in the old country. We found much in Somerset. Around Bath, and Wells. You can see the city of Bath from Solsbury Hill, just like the song says:

There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than boy bands and top 40.

Herbie Hancock, Man-Child
