More live Canadiana. Winnipeg Rock, more of The Guess Who.
This is from 1970, on the Johnny Cash Show. If you'll find patience as Johnny destroys the flow of Hand Me Down World, the boys from Winnipeg do Share The Land uninterrupted. The vocal talent of Burton Cummings observed as incredible. Kurt Winter and Jim Kale guitar work.

Love that Canadian flag!  It had only been around for about 5 years at that point and was still controversial.

Randy Bachman looked really really young.  For years he's had  a show on CBC where he plays old music and talks about his interactions with members from different bands of the era.  But CBC cancelled it this year.  He also has a show on Sirius Beatles channel with his son where he talks about the magic in various beatles songs.

Johnny Cash was one of the original rockabilly singers from the early '50's, along with Carl Perkins, Elvis, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran and many others.

There are a lot of songs about Saturday.  I picked this one by Lynyrd Skynyrd but was thinking about Saturday Night Fever.  I also considered Sudbury Saturday Night by Stompin Tom Connors.

I never get tired of listening to the Rolling Stones.  Best stage band in the world!  That washboard riff....they used that in Brown Sugar too.

This guy died 30 years ago.  He was a music force for many years...I remember listening to him as a pre-teen.  Here's one of his best songs.

Great pick!  Sounds more like Fairport Convention (Richard Thompson) than Queen.  The singer (Brian May) is a great guitarist and also a PhD physicist who built his own electric guitar at age 16.  It's the guitar he normally plays on stage.

Johnny Winter, Edgar Winter. Intensity. Extreme skills and talent. To see these guys live would be quite another level.
