Good morning all!  I hope the "Nobody is going to coffee" meeting is going well.

Here is an offbeat, definitely stoner band that I used to listen to back in the mid '70's.  Many people thought they were the Beatles back together but it wasn't true, although they sound a bit like the Beatles.  They had a song called "Anus of Uranus" but this song was probably their most well known.

In 1978 I saw Downchild play at the Landmark Inn in Thunder Bay.  At the time I was on a "around the lake" trip on my motorcycle around Lake Superior.  Jane Vasey was their pianist back then but she died of cancer several years after.  I have the "We Deliver" album with Flip Flop and Fly but my favourite song on that album is I've Been a Fool.  I love the line "Here I am down to welfare, and here you are down to farewell."
