John: you re-lacing the wheel yourself?

Yes Dave I am doing it myself as other members have encouraged me and are offering support so learning something new.
The front is  done and just needs truing and balancing.  I dont think I sent a pic of the front but will try to post later on today.

Once I have them laced and the offset set Stan has offered to help true and balance them as well as mounting the tires back on in his shop.

Its good to learn something new and if we really screw it up we can take them to a shop and have them do it properly.

Okay hopefully everyone is not getting too tired of the pics but here is the front wheel.  Nearly completed and laced and offset to the same specs as when removed.

Still need to tighten, true and balance as well as mount tires  ( which reminds me Moto Lobo do you still have a couple of the inner wheel elastics if so I can grab them from you)

Thanks John

Nice..I often use electricians tape rather than a rim strip..goes about 3-4 wraps..
I use a mini ball pien to cut most of the way thru the valvestem hole.. Then a quick twirl of the exacto knife..and bobsyerunkle..

If I'm not mistaken that's a 74 and because of emission laws they slowed down a lot, wheelies probably wouldn't have been an issue, still a fun bike though.

69-72 were the original widow makers, no brakes, super twitchy, and yes shorter wheelbase making them wheelie prone. 73-75 were more refined, but all had the same hp/tourqe ratings until 76 when Kawi caved to pressure and nutted the bike down to 52 hp from 60.

Posting late.. Pulled over he back end of the K4 754 apart yesterday.. Re and Re,d the swingarm bushings... Went pretty easy and fit without reaming.... Got really reasonable priced bushings from Kenosha Kid ( ebay ) in Germany.. Shipping was probably. Less than getting from the USA. Go figure.....??
So It should be safe to ride soon, changing tires, then getting reggie done / insured..
Think I got more cleaning to do on carbs and tank..... Then time to ride...

Actually the H2 and H2A were the same frames, different barrel porting changed the power band but the HP was the same. The 74 had the longer swing arm and cosmetic changes
There were other cosmetic differences between the H2 and H2A but they had nothing to do with performance.
The above info is from the RB triple site.

You would have had fun with us today on a 754 without good ground clearance.  Grin
