Doing things to my motorcycle over several days.....maybe weeks.....

After taking delivery of my new '86 Concours (yeah, I know, it is a new bike......Collector Plate, tho'), I started changing things to make it work for me.  Cast bars were just too darn low, pain & numbness in wrists.  Decided risers would not be sufficient, got a round bar adaptor from Storz in Ventura, delivered in 4 days.  Nicely made.

With the adaptor installed, then measure for longer controls, after sourcing a close to suitable bar from Gissmo.   Everything needed to be 3" longer, except for the throttle cables, which will work with minor re-routing.    Had a hydraulic clutch (remember, new bike) line made up by Allans Hose'n'all, still half the price of a Kawasaki unit from a different bike.   Choke cable on it's way from Murphs Kits.  Brake line should be here later this week.

All this to see what works, but it will be worth it in the end.   I really like the combination of power and handling of the Concours (I'm only half-fast, at the best of times).  Should be a suitable replacement for the 850, now in it's happy new home.

Well hear is the last time you will see the inside of my 80 CBX before the bottom case goes on.
So what are we looking at? In front of you is Falicon Super Crank, the crank was lighted and polished. The rods were shot penned and polished. The crank and rods received cryogenic treatment. I will be running Honda 750 high compression pistons. The displacement will be 1122cc.
It should be a interesting ride... Smiley

Yes, a new primary, new cam chain and new oil pump.
All new bearings as well.

Swingarm rebuilt and installed, cleaned up original parts being used agian as well as new bronze bushings...

The H1 switch controls were in rough shape but are the date coded originals so they had to come apart...

Thanks Henry...not easy painting the small letters... Tongue  but sometimes it's better to restore them than replace them with reproductions (which aren't always correct)
