Thanks John, it's a real mix of parts now.
74K with a 78 F motor  and a 70 gastank.. .. keeps everyone on their toes.,

Frank - it's about time you did this.  The motor you pulled out should have been designated a boat anchor a long time ago.
Just looking at the replacement F motor pic tells me it's a good motor.  It'll be good for you.

Actually I’ve seen nicer boat anchors. LOL. Maybe you should rebuild the front end you’ve been bitching about while your at it. Petcock rebuilt parts are dirt cheap as well.

The motor was fine  until into July. , and I put at least 8, 000 miles on it from Mid August to June.
So considering I used parts that came out of it, and parts I pulled out of a motor with no cam gear on it, siiting under a tree  In The yard for 2 years.
And a cylinder with no fins on one side, from a bike I wrecked in 1975.
I thought it did pretty good. So did all the riders at the meet in Colorado, none of them thought I would make it.
So I really have nothing to complain about, it served me well..

I drained the fluids cleaned and detailed my stock LC350 and parked it in the basement. The hybrid I have with the RZ motor and big brakes is more fun to ride.

Looks good .

Removing the lower frame rails improves the ride quality.
