Electronic resistance, and its properties in protecting electronic components from "backed up' electrical pulses. I just got home to discover on my Norton, equipped with aftermarket Boyer Bransdon electronic ignition, that while my NGK copper spark plug wires DO NOT have resister tips, I am using an NGK BPR7ES resister plug. Especially when you have the older point-less ignition systems or even more critical you are using magneto sparks !
