Title: Rubber/steel adhesive
Post by: Galactica on September 15, 2022, 08:49:52 PM
So, I got this idea from Jodea.  It’s a side stand extension made from a hockey puck.  Shaped with a a sander, drilled, tapped, and counter sunk.  6x1 Allen screws.

When I’m sure I have the thickness absolutely correct, I’d like to stick it on with adhesive as well as the screws.

Please weigh in with your suggestions as to an appropriate adhesive.

Thanks,
Ross

Hard to beat contact cement.

We used an industrial version to hold rubber de-icer boots to propeller blades.

I've used it on many sets of runningboard rubbers now without issues.

Thanks Shawn.  Great to hear from you.  I’ll give it a try.  It’s a long way off, but I’m thinking it’s likely I’ll take a ride out your way next year.
