This song was one of several the artist put out in the 70's.  It describes the angst we all seemed to have as young adults back then.  Gordon Lightfoot also had a similar song.

He was a great singer back in the 50's and early 60's.  His daughter followed in his footsteps with a highly successful singing career.  This was one of the father's more popular songs.
