I guess it depends on the nature of the damage.  Cosmetic damage is enough to total a bike even thought there's nothing technically wrong with it.  How you evaluate how bad the damage was is another thing altogether.

Just wondering what the consensus here is on an old bike carrying a Rebuild title on it. Does it bother you if the bike otherwise checks out? Lots can happen to a machine in 40+ years....

  Observations,,,,,
First I’ll say I’ve seen the quality of your restorations, Ross, and they are high quality. You do everything correct, and the bikes look great.

Second I’ll say that  the 750K series from the first ‘69 sand cast through the small tank series, have progressively had their turn appreciating in value. Buying a ‘75 was a good move I think, as it’s about to have its turn in collector buyer attention.  Buying a ‘70 - ‘72 now generally,,,,,will be an expensive entry point.

That’s a pretty nice bike.  $10K is only say, $7,200USD.  Could fetch near that.  I’ll be into my ‘75 CB750K5 for about $7,200 CDN and it wouldn’t fetch anywhere near that.

This group was all white, but they had a hit reggae tune singing about the game of cricket of all things.
