15/16ths of the world uses the metric system.

« on: May 11, 2017, 09:43:23 PM »

I thought I would start a thread to see if anyone has any random old parts lying around that they would like to see put to use, rather than throw them in the garbage or go through the mental anguish of trying to sell them on Craigslist or eBay.

If someone posts something you want in this thread, send them a PM. Please don't clog the thread up with extra conversation.

I'll start.

I've been doing some spring cleaning around the shop and hopefully these will be of use to someone.

Absolutely free, just pay the shipping or pick them up.

Three signal assemblies from a 1970s Honda (CX500 to be exact), one front and two rear. Chrome is good and two of the three lenses have no cracks. Should fit other models.

Two vintage clamp-on mirrors, brand new.

The only catch is, they have to be used on a project. Free doesn't mean it disappears into your parts heap for all eternity. I can hoard stuff and never let it see the light of day just as well as anyone else.

If you don't use it, pass it on to someone who can.

I'll be listing more as I clean house.

Maybe a moderator can make this a sticky if they wish.

Good Idea.  I'll have to check my spares box to see if there is anything I know I will NOT be needing.

I have a few things.  I'm writing this from my office so haven't checked, but for sure I have a decent seat pan for a '76 KZ900 along with the cushion.  I also have a front fender for an LTD model.

I did not misunderstand him.. But no takers.. And I need to find some signals for the four or more bikes I have.
Dont know if I will use them this year.
Am thinking of building a chopper, can use the mirrors.. Again no takers...

So i made the (perhaps indecent ) proposal..... Its just one of the methods of chasing parts.

Hey, I have a Paso907ie, with good exhaust but spares can't hurt, mirrors are a good thing too as I have a few Triumphs. Can I get you to put them on the bus to Kamloops and I will certainly reimburse for cost and effort. PM me for address details if this is okay.

Frank

I can bring them with me to Osoyoos this weekend if that works.

If not I will put them on the bus.

Seems like a whole lotta miscommunication. Too many Franks and Too many mirrors. And too many Triumphs and Triumphs.

Gotta love it!
