After 11 months of searching, researching, acquiring parts and fabrication along with a few choice words aimed at the Italians, Joe (all hail Joe and his endurance on this one) and I finished the '65/66 Ducati Monza 250. Brought it home from the coast yesterday and it sure is a good looking bike. What I would call a stage 1 restoration with everything done so we can ride it next season but not a perfect job, sorry we do not do perfect.

Looks very nice!

Perfection is impossible when applied to a resto.  There are always compromises and always things one can do better.  I'm about 2/3 of the way through my Z1B resto and have learned a lot.  There are many things I would do differently...and of course this means I have to do another one!

Nicely done Frank. You are indeed lucky to have such a dedicated cohort in Joe.

When you come down ( after a couple glasses of wine ) I will share a story of a Diana, sidewalks and Taverns.

Very nice Frank, glad to see it coming to completion after having talked about the project so many times with you.

Be sure to send me some good pictures for the calendar, there's only a week left to get them in.

Bought myself another bike for my birthday.

Should be running tomorrow once this carburetor soup is made.

Finished off adjusting the valves on the Concours today.  Actually I finished yesterday, took me the better part of the day today just to get that f*&$^#^^& cam cover gasket and cam cover back on.  I recall having just as much fun the first time I adjusted the valves.  Lining up the rubber gasket to fit in the cam cover groove and simultaneously sealing the head surface quickly turned into an adventure.  Kawasaki couldn't cram more chit into that area of the bike even if they wanted to.
I thought the GS750 was bad, but this one is just hellish!

Been fiddling with the Ducati project over the last few weeks. Mrs. Twin is out of the house for a couple weeks so I can make progress and eat badly.

There's two cylinders in the middle that you missed.
