My ride for the day...my k1300r is in for the 60,000km service. Not bad for 3 1/2 years...I like that they give me a loaner.
They are very busy and asked if I would mind taking the loaner home over night and pick up in the morning...no problem.  Smiley

Did they run out of black frame paint Trevor, or did they put a smashed up Ducati with whatever it is to make it into your picture.

Lots of fun until someone sees you on it.

Sweetums and I rode up to D'arcy today.  Traffic was light except through Whistler where we rode in the bike lane for a mile or so past Function Junction.  The road from Pemberton to D'arcy is even twistier and windier than the Sea to Sky, so we had fun negotiating the turns.  Smoke got progressively worse as we rode north.  The photo below proves that D'arcy is definitely not a one horse town.  The second one was taken N or Whistler on Green Lake.  Normally you can see Whistler Mtn from there but not today.

First ride of the season this evening.  West Kelowna down to Summerland and back.
The smoke was still lingering in the valley while the heat was as hideous as ever.
Nice ride with the Concours nonetheless.
Pic has vineyard background from Summerland area.  It was starting to get a little on the dark side with the half smokey sky adding an interesting angle.

Got some riding done up along the Sunshine Coast twisties, then up to Port Hardy through Courtenay and Campbell River following back down to Nanaimo. All in all, a fantastic two day trip.

One of the highlights was coming across this Black Shadow.

We kept up just fine with the big twins. The 350 ended the night with a flat tire 10 minutes before departure so we had to ditch two riders to make the 8:15pm ferry  Evil We went back of course with a truck to pick them up from Tsawwassen at 12:30. Initially BC Ferries did not want to let the old Honda on the 10:45 ferry due to liabilities. One of the two riders was a lawyer and convinced BC Ferries to sign a waiver in order for the bike to get on the ferry. Good times.

Those are wonderful bikes you have.   I am especially fond of the old supersport Hondas with the cool swept exhaust headers.  On the Sunshine Coast I am sure they would have been the perfect ride for you.
